Who is Scope built for?
Scope is built for owner-operators and small crews in the home-service trades, including handymen, plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, painters and landscapers. It keeps the daily workflow focused without the overhead of enterprise field-service software.
Can I create an estimate at the jobsite?
Yes. Build a professional estimate on your phone, add reusable line items, taxes, discounts, photos and terms, then collect the customer’s signature and send it before you leave.
Can an approved estimate become a job and invoice?
Yes. Scope keeps the estimate, job, invoice, notes, photos and client connected. You can turn approved work into a job and later create the invoice without entering the same details again.
Does Scope process customer payments?
Scope currently lets you record cash, checks and bank transfers, including deposits and partial payments. It shows the remaining balance, but the beta does not process card payments.
How much does Scope cost, and where can I use it?
Scope is free during the open beta and does not require a credit card. It is designed for iPhone and Android, so you can manage work from the truck, the jobsite or the office.
Does Scope replace accounting or tax software in the United States?
No. Scope helps you prepare estimates, organize jobs and track invoices and payments. It is not accounting, payroll or tax-filing software. You remain responsible for invoice, sales-tax, licensing and recordkeeping requirements in your state and local jurisdiction.
