HVAC repair or replacement estimates, decided today.
Scope is HVAC estimating and invoicing software for service and installation work. Send repair and replacement options on site, record the deposit, schedule the install, and keep the balance visible.
The $820 estimate and the $8,400 one, sent together
A 14-year-old unit on its third repair is a replacement conversation. Send both estimates before you pack the gauges — the homeowner approves one and declines the other.
Deposit Monday, balance on install day
Equipment money arrives in parts. Record each payment you receive against the invoice and Scope keeps the balance straight.
Scope records payments you've received — cash, check, card or transfer. It doesn't process card payments.
Model and serial on the job — not in four text threads.
Type the equipment details into the job notes and attach a nameplate photo. Next summer, open the client's past jobs and it's there.

What HVAC techs ask before they switch
Can I show repair vs replace?
Send them as two estimates. The customer approves one and declines the other — options inside a single estimate aren't supported yet.
Do deposits work for equipment?
Record the deposit as a payment on the invoice and Scope shows the remaining balance. Scope doesn't process cards.
Maintenance agreements?
Not yet. Create each tune-up as its own job; the client's history shows past visits.
Does it handle financing?
No. Record the payments you receive; financing stays between the customer and the lender.
